HAND in HAND
is an international aid organisation that was founded by a lot of volunteers in the
year 2000. Its aim is to help people in need. The trigger for this was the giant destruction
cause by a hurrican and a tsunami in Orissa, India, where hundert of thouands of people died and
even more became homeless.
One of the aid projects that emerged at that time is the construction of a childern's home where especially orphans and half-orphans find a new home. In the meantime the residential school accomodates about 200 children. And it shall be more.
Beside my financial relief I try to support the project also by action: Up to now I created to calendars of the children's home that are used to collect donations or are a present for the hardworking helpers. Some of the pictures can be found under the link on the left.
The next project that I will photographically assis is a arjuvedian cookbook. Its revenue will also be donated to the project.
